Creative & Performance Practice
My creative work in theatre and performance is not separate from my community and educational practice—it is foundational to it.
I come to facilitation through long experience as a director, actor, performance-maker, and educator. Theatre taught me to listen closely, attend to group dynamics, work with uncertainty, and understand how language, emotion, and embodiment shape shared experience. These practices continue to inform how I design learning environments, facilitate dialogue, and work with communities today.
I understand performance not only as something staged, but as a way of being present: paying attention, listening carefully, responding to what emerges, and creating conditions where people feel seen, heard, and able to participate. Whether directing a production, facilitating a conversation, or guiding a workshop, I draw on the same commitments to attention, responsiveness, and care.
My creative practice includes theatre directing, acting, performance writing, and collaborative projects that explore memory, loss, learning, identity, and collective experience. Across these forms, I am interested in how performance can support reflection, connection, and meaning-making in everyday life.
